Black Talons is a hardcore/juggling soundsystem (dj group) consisting of members from St.Vincent, Jamaica, Guyana, Trindad, Italy & New York. Black Talons started in 1994 in Brooklyn, New York as just a "DJ TING". We just did it for fun cause of everyone's young age and we were all still in high school at the time. The sound was introduced by King Shane , his brother Kid and two other friends, Fatal & Kutchie. In Mid 1995 the sound expanded with the addition of Nigel who lived in the neighborhood and had guyanese roots which made it easy for him to fit in.

We started to make our name by playing in high school dances ,college parties, block parties and small clubs in the tri-state area and other parts of the east coast, not to mention the mix tapes that were on the road which earned us our "street cred" cause by then we had many dubplates (freestyles) and specials which became musical anthems in the community. In 2001 Shane Persaud aka. DJ Shane moved to Atlanta from Trinidad and started to play the sound in 2002.

With 8yrs of DJ experience he began to make his name in Atlanta pretty quick by playing for the top promoters and alongside some of the biggest soundsystems in the world.

In 2007 Black Talons added another member by the name of Jam Jam Dun The Place aka Jam Fire who branded his name by playing for the legendary King Addies . With Jam Fire travelling back and forth from New York to Miami to the West Coast Black Talons is now in heavy rotation in a city near you. Since then Black Talons has added Tete who lives in Italy and Jr Jay in New York who you could hear on JLR radio on mondays and thursdays from 8pm-10pm. Black Talons has played in Italy ,Germany , Holland , Japan , Jamaica , Trinidad , all over the caribbean and the US just to name a few and with all the diversity on the sound we specialize in Reggae ,Dancehall , Soca & Calypso , Hip Hop & RnB , chutney ,classics and of course the Dubplates. Hailing from the streets of Atlanta Marcus, otherwise known as DJ Danger Marcus is making a lot of noise and is taking the DJ world by storm. Born in the parish of Clarendon, located in Jamaica West Indies, Marcus was influenced by many different artists and DJs in the music world. Such artists’ include Everton Blender, Coco Tea, and Super Cat, just to name a few. As a youngster, Marcus has been expressing his love for music and would listen to well known sound systems like Master Vibes, Soul Rebel, and Body Guard. With Marcus’s passion and drive for the music world, he knew it would take a lot of hard work, trial and failure to one become the “lightening DJ” he calls himself. He also knows without a doubt that one day his art would be recognized and respected by all. At his tender age, Marcus was not afraid to face his challenges that would come his way in this business.

In 1990 Marcus migrated to the United States of America, where he landed into the “Big Apple”, New York City. He began taking his music dream a lot more seriously. At the age of 15 Marcus started practicing and learning the fundamentals of being a DJ. He started learning how to mix and worked very hard on perfecting the art. Marcus started his own sound system in the Far Rockaway, NY called UNICO, where he started playing at parties and local neighborhood events. To Marcus, this is the beginning of his DJ career and for him there was no turning back. Marcus continued to grow with his sound system and continued to consume all he could about the DJ business. In 1995 Marcus relocated to Florida where he continued his career with “Ruff Neck Sound System”. This existing sound needed the lightening DJ to bless the turn tables with his talent and style. Working on Ruff Neck Sound System was of great benefit to Marcus. He travelled with the Sound to countries like US Virgin Island, Bahamas and Canada. He also kept it local with the US. This experience exposed him to veterans in the DJ world and music artist. They saw how much energy and drive this youngster had and guided him along his career. Each provided Marcus with their words of wisdom, which Marcus took and applied to his career. Marcus also played for a sound in Jacksonville, FL. In 2006 he graduated from Ruff Neck Sound System and Florida and relocated to Atlanta, GA.

Marcus knows that this is never ending career path. He has grown and progressed in the eyes of his followers. He has made his name and is continuing to hold on to this respect of is fans. He is part owner of a record label called “Fire Lane Record” which he is the C.E.O., and producer of artist such as Hiawondah, Andi Floyd and Empress Fyah. Marcus is continuing to grow in the DJ world. He now wants to take his career a step further in the radio and cyber world. Marcus is presently launching a radio segment and a web forum for the Caribbean community

DJ BOOM LOVE is a television producer and radio producer/personality who enjoys living on the island of her parent’s heritage. Before spending a number of years in the Caribbean broadcast industry, Claudette graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a minor in Linguistics in 1992. While still in school, she began her broadcasting career in 1988 as an Associate Producer for an urban community program on a local PBS station. A few years later she got a taste of entertainment television, through her stint at MTV as a programming assistant. She went on to work in cable television as a producer, editor and camera person before moving on to network television as an assistant director and post production editor. She switched gears in 1995 to join a radio station further expanding her broadcast production experience.

Her production credits include diverse show formats like Tony Brown’s Journal on PBS, The Lou Rawls Parade of Stars Telethon, WPLG Channel 10 News, the Caribbean soap opera Royal Palm Estate plus a number of sports production, music videos and commercials. Her extensive knowledge of broadcast production has made her a key player in the industry. In the past 20 years, Claudette has created, written, produced, directed, shot, recorded and edited numerous broadcast shows for both television and radio. Founded by selectors PEC, Kahlil Wonda, and Crisis Don, Highlanda debuted on the Atlanta dancehall scene back in early 1999, spinning alongside Bass Odyssey and Super Gold in Club Jaguars.

The now top rated HIGHLANDA crew began by hooking up with Extreme Media, the Atlanta based entertainment company, where they utilized their networking skills to fortify relations with local promoters, DJs, artists and club owners.

Over their first two years, the sound exploded in terms of popularity. This result is primarily because Highlanda's versatility and interactive style ensures that their audiences are completely satisfied and thoroughly entertained.

The name Highlanda is very spiritual, dealing with the concept of focusing on "inna heights," Mt. Zion, or heaven.

The crew has played all over the Caribbean, USA, and Japan. Highlanda Sound has juggled alongside Renaissance, Stone Love, Fire Linx, Massive B, Poison Dart, and David Rodigan to name a few, as well as DJ Enuff, Cocoa Chanelle, DJ Drama, Frank Ski, Sway & Tech, DJ Kool, Spank Boogie and others.

Having played for a cadre of artists such as Beenie Man, Mobb Deep, Junior Reid, T.O.K, Big Daddy Kane, Tanto Metro and Devonte, Sean Paul, and more, Highlanda is moving steadily towards super-stardom.

In addition to radio features on Atlanta's 91.1FM, 88.5FM, Blazing 98, and 89.3FM, Kahlil Wonda of Highlanda was a mix-show DJ on the award-winning 'Natural Mystic' show, which aired on WCLK 91.9FM. Born in St Kitts, a small Island in the Caribbean, I started spinnin on the 1s & 2s at the young age of 13 under the guidance of Magic Fingers, Ronnie Rascal the top DJ & sound in the Eastern Caribbean. I moved to St. Thomas as a young adult, went to school @ the University of The Virgin Islands and made a name for myself playing for college parties at UVI, making guest appearances at Club Z and spinning at local events.
I left St Thomas and relocated to Oklahoma City where I joined the Air Force, made my way to Aurora Colorado (Tinker AFB) and eventually settled down in a small town in Texas near Dallas called Lubbock, where I became the resident DJ of the NCO Club at Reese AFB.

Before too long I moved on to playing at local clubs in the city while also performing at various college gigs for Texas Tech University and regional events. I had the opportunity to open my own club, VIBES in 1993. It was a great learning experience taking on the role of Owner/Manager, and eventually I got into the concert promotion business. Evidently, I missed moving the crowds on the turn tables, so I hit the road after closing the club down about 2 years later and got back into the mobile game and showcasing in various clubs in the South, such as Lubbock, Amarillo Midland/Odessa, Abilene, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston & also Clovis New Mexico. Some of the clubs I have blessed with my
unique style include, Crystals, One World, Static, Daiquiri Lounge, The Champagne Room, Firehouse Club, and Lakeside. I was also a regular on Z102FM in Lubbock working the Friday 5 0'Clock Drive Mix Show, plus a weekly live broadcast Friday Nights from Static Nightclub from 9p-4a. Through networking, I added Promoter of Live Comedy Shows to my resume in addition to Music Concert Promotion and Dj-ing, while also providing Sound Reinforcement for all occasions. My goal was and still is to provide a one stop shop for all your musical entertainment needs! Virgin Islands plus Serenade, & Impromptu Band from Dominica with my partner Clive under KARIB MUZIK Promotions. I Have also had the honor of working with The Calypso King of The World, The Mighty Sparrow, Reggae Superstars Baby Cham, Tanto Metro & Devonte, Mr Vegas, Frankie Paul, Tinga Stewart, Beres Hammond, Munga, Pressure, Collie Buddz, Lady Saw, Tanya Stephens & many more.
